चण्डीगढ़ : हरिद्वार कांवड़ यात्रा के दौरान डूबने से चंडीगढ़ के चार युवकों की हुई दर्दनाक मृत्यु पर गहरा शोक व्यक्त करते हुए चंडीगढ़ प्रदेश कांग्रेस कमेटी (सीटीसीसी) के वाइस चेयरमैन (कानूनी प्रकोष्ठ), युवा नेता, समाजसेवी एवं पंजाब एवं हरियाणा हाईकोर्ट में प्रैक्टिसिंग एडवोकेट अनमोल तलवार ने प्रशासक, चंडीगढ़ को पत्र लिखकर शोकाकुल परिवारों को तत्काल राहत एवं हरसंभव सहायता प्रदान करने की मांग की है।
एडवोकेट अनमोल तलवार ने अपने पत्र में मांग की है कि प्रत्येक मृतक के परिवार को पर्याप्त आर्थिक मुआवजा दिया जाए, प्रभावित परिवारों को हर स्तर पर प्रशासनिक सहायता उपलब्ध कराई जाए तथा प्रत्येक परिवार के कम से कम एक सदस्य को सरकारी नौकरी प्रदान कर उनकी आर्थिक सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित की जाए।
उन्होंने कहा कि यह हादसा अत्यंत दुखद और पीड़ादायक है। जिन परिवारों ने अपने युवा बेटों को खोया है, उनकी क्षति की भरपाई कभी नहीं हो सकती। ऐसे कठिन समय में प्रशासन का दायित्व है कि वह संवेदनशीलता और मानवीय दृष्टिकोण अपनाते हुए प्रभावित परिवारों के साथ मजबूती से खड़ा रहे।
एडवोकेट अनमोल तलवार ने कहा कि चंडीगढ़ प्रशासन को बिना किसी विलंब के राहत संबंधी आवश्यक निर्णय लेने चाहिए, ताकि शोक संतप्त परिवारों को आर्थिक एवं सामाजिक संबल मिल सके। उन्होंने माननीय प्रशासक से इस मामले में शीघ्र, संवेदनशील एवं सकारात्मक हस्तक्षेप कर प्रभावित परिवारों को तत्काल सहायता उपलब्ध कराने की अपील की।

Demand for Compensation and Government Jobs for Families of Four Chandigarh Youths Who Died in the Haridwar Kanwar Yatra 2026 Tragedy
Chandigarh: Expressing profound grief over the tragic drowning of four youths from Chandigarh during the Haridwar Kanwar Yatra, Advocate Anmol Talwar, Vice Chairman (Legal Cell) of the Chandigarh Territorial Congress Committee (CTCC), youth leader, social activist, and practicing advocate at the Punjab and Haryana High Court, has written to the Administrator of Chandigarh seeking immediate relief and all possible assistance for the bereaved families.
In his letter, Advocate Anmol Talwar has urged the Administration to provide adequate financial compensation to the family of each deceased, extend all necessary administrative support to the affected families, and offer a government job to at least one member of each family to ensure their financial security.
He stated that the incident is extremely tragic and heartbreaking. The loss suffered by the families who have lost their young sons can never be compensated. In such difficult times, it is the responsibility of the Administration to stand firmly with the affected families by adopting a compassionate and humane approach.
Advocate Anmol Talwar further said that the Chandigarh Administration should take immediate decisions regarding relief measures without any delay so that the grieving families receive financial and social support. He appealed to the Hon’ble Administrator to intervene promptly, sympathetically, and positively to ensure immediate assistance for the af
fected families.
