साइबर अपराधियों ने डेबिट कार्ड का झांसा देकर ₹75 हजार उड़ाए; साइबर थाना में मामला दर्ज

चण्डीगढ़ : सेक्टर 32 के एक निवासी से ₹75,000 की ऑनलाइन ठगी का मामला सामने आया है। इस संबंध में साइबर थाना, चंडीगढ़ में अज्ञात आरोपियों के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज कर जांच शुरू कर दी गई है।
प्राप्त विवरण के मुताबिक सेक्टर-32 निवासी सुद्धाम इंदरजीत सिंह सैनी से साइबर ठगों ने कूरियर और डेबिट कार्ड के नाम पर 75 हजार रुपए ठग लिए। पीड़ित ने बताया कि 23 मई को उन्हें व्हाट्सएप कॉल कर खुद को कूरियर कंपनी का प्रतिनिधि बताया गया। कॉलर ने कहा कि बैंक का नया डेबिट कार्ड वापस आ गया है और दोबारा मंगवाने की प्रक्रिया करनी होगी। पीड़ित ने बैंक से खुद कार्ड लेने की बात कही, लेकिन इसके बावजूद उनके खाते से दो ट्रांजेक्शन में 75 हजार रुपए निकल गए। शिकायतकर्ता ने पुलिस को बताया कि उन्होंने न तो किसी के साथ अपने डेबिट/क्रेडिट कार्ड का विवरण या कोई ओटीपी साझा किया और न ही कोई लिंक खोला। इसके बावजूद उनके खाते से राशि डेबिट हो गई। शिकायत पर सेक्टर-17 साइबर थाना पुलिस ने अज्ञात आरोपियों के खिलाफ केस दर्ज कर जांच शुरू कर दी है। साइबर थाना पुलिस के अनुसार, एफआईआर नंबर 90 भारतीय न्याय संहिता (बीएनएस) की धारा 318(4), 319(2) एवं 61(2) के तहत सुद्धाम इंद्रजीत सिंह सैनी, निवासी सेक्टर-32, चंडीगढ़ की शिकायत पर दर्ज की गई है और ठगी में शामिल लोगों की पहचान एवं गिरफ्तारी के लिए कार्यवाई शुरू कर दी है। मामले की आगे की जांच जारी है।

Chandigarh: A resident of Sector 32, Chandigarh, has allegedly been cheated of ₹75,000 in an online fraud. The Cyber Police Station, Sector 17, Chandigarh, has registered a case against unknown accused and initiated an investigation. According to the information received, cyber fraudsters duped Suddam Inderjeet Singh Saini, a resident of Sector 32, of ₹75,000 on the pretext of a courier delivery and a new debit card. The victim stated that on May 23, he received a WhatsApp call from a person claiming to be a representative of a courier company. The caller informed him that his bank’s new debit card had been returned undelivered and that a fresh request would have to be processed. The complainant responded that he would personally collect the card from the bank. However, despite not proceeding further with the caller, ₹75,000 was fraudulently withdrawn from his bank account through two unauthorised transactions. The complainant told the police that he did not share his debit or credit card details, did not disclose any One-Time Password (OTP), and did not click on any suspicious link. Despite this, the amount was debited from his account. Acting on the complaint, the Cyber Police Station, Sector 17, Chandigarh, registered a case against unknown persons and launched an investigation. According to the Cyber Police, FIR No. 90 has been registered under Sections **318(4), 319(2), and 61(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) on the complaint of Suddam Inderjeet Singh Saini, a resident of Sector 32, Chandigarh. Police have initiated efforts to identify and apprehend those involved in the fraud. Further investigation is underway.
