कांग्रेस विचारधारा से पिछले 30 वर्षों से निष्ठापूर्वक जुड़ीं श्रीमती रजनी तलवार वार्ड 25 चंडीगढ़ (सेक्टर 37 व 38) की जानी-मानी सामाजिक व राजनीतिक हस्ती हैं। इसके साथ ही वार्ड 27 चंडीगढ़ (सेक्टर 38-वेस्ट, 39 व 40) के सेक्टर 40-सी में वे मार्केट वेलफेयर एसोसिएशन – MWA (पंजी.) की अध्यक्षा हैं तथा ‘राइट वे चाइल्ड एंड वूमेन वेलफेयर सोसाइटी’ – Right Way NGO (पंजी.) की अध्यक्षा के रूप में वर्षों से महिलाओं व बच्चों के अधिकारों तथा जन-कल्याण के कार्यों में अग्रणी रही हैं।
